Ten years in a relationship is a long time. Witnessing Hamburg’s MS Dockville festival transform from a weekend getaway to a whole summer of events with over 100.000 visitors annually is something that would make anyone’s heart beat faster.
When you are writing concepts for brands on a piece of paper, there is a chance that a good deal of your work remains unused. Doing the very same thing with an event, especially a festival, you quickly realize that you must give it all you’ve got or you’ll fail. The bigger the event, the bigger the challenge.
Being an essential part of the core team behind MS Dockville came with a lot of different tasks and challenges from production, HR and sponsorship management to press communication, artist care and even creative gastronomy.

When the international press compared our festival to Coachella, it was a sign that we did not only good, but great. It was time to look for new adventures. After almost two decades, letting go of a then fully grown festival was a necessary yet still very emotional decision and the end of an exceptional journey. Still trying to figure out what normal people do in their summer.
